VSS, LLC today announced plans for a spin-off of some of its MSP and Microsoft business to reform Exigo Technology Services.
The reformed Exigo will be managed by Carlo MacDonald, a former partner of VSS and will focus on infrastructure and software development — which includes Exigo’s Application Delivery Solutions, Hybrid Cloud Solutions, and IT Operations Management businesses. The new company will be based in Baton Rouge and New Orleans Louisiana with services globally. The move enables Exigo to realize its vision of being one of the leading providers of hybrid IT, connected to multi-cloud solutions from Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon.
Managed Services
Exigo’s Managed Services solutions will continue to provide VSS customers with both on premise and in the cloud managed solutions that includes RMM services for Windows and Linux servers, infrastructure, and user support. VSS will continue to manage its “best of breed” hosted and on premise IBM Power(tm) services allowing Exigo customers a single hosted solution for midsize and enterprise customers operating key business applications on the IBM AS400(tm).

Managed Backup
In addition, Exigo will provide its highly customizable SMB managed backup services solutions with VSS to provide best-in-class enterprise-grade managed backup solutions built on IBM Spectrum Protect.
Modernize Applications
Exigo’s Application Delivery Services group will focus on helping customers migrate legacy applications into modern IT solutions. Midsize and Enterprise customers that continue to operate critical systems on old and outdated languages and databases are quickly finding themselves at a disadvantage to their competitors. The Exigo and VSS partnership allows those customers to plan, build, and deploy applications in a controlled time line that makes sense for their business.
